Austriacard turns a new page as DNP stake rises to 96.29%
Dai Nippon Printing (DNP) is on track to complete its acquisition of Austriacard Holdings, with the Japanese multinational’s stake in the Greek company rising to 96.29%.
DNP said that “on May 13, 2026, Dai Nippon Printing Co., Ltd. submitted a notification regarding the irrevocable undertaking agreement covering 74.58% of the shares, with Nikolaos Lykos as the seller and Dai Nippon Printing Co., Ltd. as the buyer.”
Based on information received by Dai Nippon Printing, in addition to shares previously tendered representing 0.71%, shareholders holding a further 21% stake tendered their shares in the takeover bid on August 20, 2026.
According to the company, “this acquisition is subject to conditions and satisfaction of applicable requirements, and settlement will take place in accordance with the terms of the takeover bid.”
