Award-winning Naftemporiki secures five major new European honors

After the top distinction as “European Newspaper of the Year 2024”, “Naftemporiki” was also dynamically present in the 27th competition of the European Newspaper Award, where 3,000 participants claimed distinctions in 20 categories, from 22 countries.

The 13 members of the jury – design directors, journalists and scientists, coming from Finland, Denmark, Sweden, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Portugal, Austria and Germany – met for two days in Frankfurt, to decide on the winners of this international “Design and Concept” competition, which is considered one of the largest in the world.

Despite the numerous entries, “N”, which is a pioneer in design, under its Art Director Dimitris Nikas, managed to stand out and, in fact, won five awards in different categories.

Specifically, it won an award with the front page of July 3, 2025.

Two Special Editions on Tourism and Shipping were honored in the respective category.

Also, in the special tribute category, “Naftemporiki” received an award for the luxurious publication “The Next 365 Days in Greece/the World”, while the two-page “Natural Gas Pipeline” was also awarded for the way the topic was presented.

The creative and journalistic team of “N” managed, for another year, to impress the jury, through the concept and design of the above projects.

The main awards this year in the “European Newspaper of the Year” were awarded to Spain, Portugal, Greece and Germany.
