ELKAK joins the Rapid Adoption Service (RAS) of NATO’s DIANA accelerator
The NATO Rapid Adoption Service (RAS) has activated ELKAK (Hellenic Center For Defence Innovation), opening a new international pathway for Greek dual-use technologies and expressing interest in funding the further development of technological solutions that have already been identified through NATO’s defence innovation accelerator.
The move creates a direct link between the needs of the Hellenic Armed Forces, Greek dual-use companies and the Alliance’s rapid adoption mechanisms. ELKAK’s request has been accepted and communicated to NATO for consideration and potential interest in the operational requirements identified.
Through the initiative, Greece is gaining a stronger presence in NATO’s defence innovation ecosystem. It is worth noting that, to date, the RAS has been activated by the Netherlands and Greece.
NATO DIANA and Greek companies
More specifically, ELKAK’s interest concerns meeting four national operational requirements through companies participating in NATO DIANA. Among the solutions responding to ELKAK’s requests are the Greek start-ups SOTIRIA, Raymetrics, Fasmetrics and Alpha Autonomy.
The four companies participated in NATO DIANA and stood out for their technologies among hundreds of applicants, making them candidates for projects to be funded by ELKAK.
The Rapid Adoption Service accelerates the transition of innovative technologies from development to operational deployment, connecting identified needs with prototypes that can be put to use by the Armed Forces.
