Five new scholarships for 2026

PCT S.A. (Piraeus Container Terminal S.A.), a subsidiary of COSCO SHIPPING Ports Ltd, is launching a €20,000 scholarship programme for the third consecutive year, continuing its support for young people from the municipalities of Perama and Keratsini-Drapetsona as they begin their academic careers.

Under the programme, five scholarships worth €4,000 each will be awarded. Four scholarships will go to first-year students from Greek public high schools in the Municipality of Perama, while one will be awarded to a first-year student from the Municipality of Keratsini-Drapetsona or to a resident of either municipality who graduated from a Greek public high school and achieved high marks in the June 2026 Panhellenic Examinations.

According to PCT, the continuation of the scholarship programme highlights its long-standing commitment to supporting education and the younger generation in the local communities where it operates. The initiative forms part of the company’s broader social contribution programme, under which PCT has consistently implemented targeted initiatives and partnerships to support the education community and create opportunities for young people. Through the scholarship programme, the company rewards academic achievement and supports young people at the early stages of their studies, while also contributing to the creation of long-term value for the local community.

Scholarship recipients will be selected based on academic and social criteria. The company’s management said: “The scholarship programme has now become an established PCT initiative for the younger generation and local communities. We believe that education creates opportunities and prospects, and through this programme we seek to recognise young people’s efforts and support them as they embark on an important new chapter, their academic journey. We will continue to consistently invest in initiatives that create a meaningful and lasting positive impact on society.”
