New agreements for US LNG via Greece
Atlantic SEE LNG Trade (a joint venture between AKTOR Group and DEPA Commercial) signed long-term agreements for the sale of US LNG with four countries on the sidelines of the ministerial meeting on transatlantic energy cooperation held on Tuesday, in Washington.
Specifically, the company’s CEO (and head of AKTOR Group), Alexandros Exarchou, signed long-term agreements for the sale of LNG with four countries of the Vertical Corridor:
- Albania’s Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy
- Bulgaria’s public company BULGARGAZ
- Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Aluminij Industries and M.T. Abraham Group
- Ukraine’s Naftogaz
The Ministerial Meeting was organized by the White House and the US National Energy Dominance Council (NEDC), under the chairmanship of the US Secretary of the Interior and NEDC chairman Doug Burgum, and the US Secretary of Energy, Chris Wright.
Greece was represented by the Minister of Environment and Energy, Stavros Papastavrou, while a total of 22 countries participated.
A joint statement was also signed to strengthen the security of natural gas supply in Central and Eastern Europe. The statement was signed by the Ministers of Energy and representatives of the Hellenic Republic, the Republic of Bulgaria, Hungary, the Republic of Poland, Romania, the Slovak Republic, the Republic of Moldova, Ukraine, the Republic of Croatia, the Republic of Lithuania, the Republic of Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and the USA.
