OTE expects revenue momentum to continue

Ημερομηνία: 31-07-2026

OTE expects service revenue growth momentum to continue and remains confident in achieving its target of a 3% increase in adjusted EBITDA for the remainder of 2026, despite intense competition and a decline in international wholesale activity.

The group’s growth prospects are supported by further expansion of Fiber to the Home (FTTH) services, Fixed Wireless Access (FWA), mobile services, pay-TV and Information and Communications Technology (ICT) solutions.

A key priority remains disciplined cost management and efficiency improvements, with increasing use of artificial intelligence in IT operations, network management and customer service.

ICT expansion

In the ICT sector, as projects financed through the Recovery and Resilience Fund approach completion, OTE is expanding its activities abroad, targeting large international organisations and private-sector customers.

A notable example is a 45 million euro contract awarded to OTE on behalf of NATO for the construction of a data centre.

The group is already using artificial intelligence applications in procurement, financial services and human resources management. It is also developing new business customer services in cloud computing, cybersecurity and related enterprise solutions.

Telekom rebranding

OTE Chairman and CEO Kostas Nebis, responding to analysts’ questions following the group’s six-month results, said that the transition of OTE’s commercial identity to the Telekom brand will take place within the year, leveraging the strength of the world’s largest telecommunications brand.

According to information, the rebranding is expected to be completed in September.

Commenting on competition, particularly from Public Power Corporation (PPC), Nebis said that, at least so far, OTE has not seen any pressure on its performance.

Regarding the planned cooperation between PPC and Vodafone Group in the FTTH wholesale market through the creation of a joint company, he said it was too early to assess its impact.

He added that the outcome would depend on the degree of network overlap and potential overbuilding.

Mobile market and Starlink

OTE’s chief executive declined to comment on the possibility of PPC entering the mobile telecommunications market, noting that such a move would first need to be confirmed through the spectrum allocation process.

He also said that the expansion of Starlink has been limited by the growth of fixed wireless access services, which offer a comparable solution in areas where fibre networks are not yet available.
