Raycap awarded €1.5m project to strengthen resilience of critical Navy systems

Raycap S.A. has been awarded a €1.5 million development project aimed at strengthening the reliability and protection of critical systems of the Hellenic Navy, the Hellenic Centre for Defence Innovation (HCDI) announced.

Raycap is one of Greece’s major companies specialising in the development and research of electronic systems. Its product portfolio includes telecommunications and power grid products, piping network products, as well as electronic and defence applications. The company has manufacturing facilities in Munich, Drama and Post Falls, Idaho, in the United States, the latter focusing mainly on supporting products for the telecommunications sector, as well as facilities in North Charleston, South Carolina, and Kearny, New Jersey, in the United States, and in Slovenia.

Its operations cover the markets of Germany, Greece, Slovenia, Cyprus, Romania, the United States and China. According to the company’s financial results for fiscal year 2025, published on September 11, 2026, turnover stood at €148.2 million. Gross profit amounted to €37.9 million, EBITDA to €14.26 million and pre-tax profit to €8.91 million. Exports totalled €112.2 million, accounting for 75.68% of turnover.

According to HCDI Chairman and CEO Pantelis Tzortzakis, “this contract marks a decisive step towards creating a national technological capability in the field of mission-critical power resilience, in synergy with the European EDF and EDA programmes currently under implementation. Through this combined effort, the country is gradually building the technological foundations required for the energy resilience, protection and operational availability of future defence systems and platforms.”
