THEON International secures around €50 million in new orders from Europe and Middle East
THEON International has announced new orders worth around €50 million from European and Middle Eastern countries, with initial deliveries expected to begin later this year.
Philippe Mennicken, Deputy CEO and Business Development Director of THEON, said the company was “pleased to see strong prospects emerging across all areas of our business for Q4 2026 and Q1 2027”.
Mennicken also noted that “THEON has been selected for additional orders worth several hundred million euros, including purchase options, which are currently undergoing final confirmation and are expected to be finalised no later than Q1 2027”. Nevertheless, management stressed that it would continue to take a conservative approach to its forecasts.
In detail, THEON has received a notice of award for the supply of NYX night-vision binoculars and the ORION dual-channel fused imaging system to a European NATO member state. This is the first major ORION binoculars delivery contract from a Western European country, marking an important milestone for the THEON NEXT initiative to develop a European, fully interconnected vision system for the soldier of the future.
At the same time, new orders worth several million euros for land and maritime surveillance systems have been secured by the Group through KAPPA, a wholly owned subsidiary of THEON. The remainder of the new orders concern various portable systems.
Since the beginning of Q4 2026, the company has been seeing the anticipated prioritisation of procurement of equipment for land forces, as expected by management since the beginning of the year, with THEON being selected for a number of contracts.
The company said the new orders further strengthen its leading position in next-generation soldier systems and forecast further acceleration in Q4 2026 and early 2027.
Against this backdrop, THEON’s management said it was pleased to see coordination between its Business Development and Research & Development teams already accelerating across all relevant areas, including gimbals and air defence systems, as part of the investments recently announced.
As Mennicken said, “full operational integration will be able to begin once the required regulatory approvals have been obtained. THEON has already started offering an integrated portfolio of electro-optical systems internationally.”
