Remote banking services for residents of UK, US and Israel

Alpha Bank is expanding its remote banking onboarding service to residents of the United Kingdom, the United States and Israel, marking the first time the service has been extended beyond Europe.

The service is aimed at Greeks living abroad, as well as international customers who maintain ties with Greece. It is already available to residents of Germany and Cyprus, with a gradual rollout to additional countries planned.

Customers can now complete the entire process of establishing an initial banking relationship with Alpha Bank without having to travel to Greece.

A new digital banking experience

The process begins on the Bank’s newly designed website for customers living abroad, where prospective customers submit their request via an online form.

They complete their identification through a secure video call with the support of specialised advisers, gaining access to a deposit account, debit card and e-banking credentials.

Remote applications and banking products

The new service also provides remote access to key banking products and services.

Specifically, customers can apply remotely for a mortgage, receiving personalised guidance at every stage of the process of purchasing property in Greece. The use of electronic signatures also enables them to obtain additional banking products remotely.

Beyond banking services, Alpha Bank has developed an integrated ecosystem of services for individuals living abroad who maintain ties with Greece, offering preferential pricing. These include document translation and interpreting services to facilitate the submission of required documentation; tax and legal advisory services on matters relating to their presence in Greece; and property search, acquisition and management services through Alpha Real Estate and selected partners.
